Music is an important part of the life, work, and worship of St. John United Methodist Church. Music enables us to approach God using our senses as well as our intellects and, thus, to worship with our whole beings. St. John’s music program is designed to encourage this by giving participants the opportunity to deepen their spiritual lives as well as to develop their musical skills.
Our ministry through music offers opportunities for everyone who has an interest in music and a desire to serve their church by lifting voices and instruments in joy and praise to the God we serve. All of St. John’s choirs are comprised of members and friends who volunteer their time and service; some have had formal musical training, most have not. All are welcome and invited to come and join with our singers and ringers.
