Leigh comes to St. John from Jodeco Road United Methodist Church in Stockbridge where she started the Youth Group in 1996 and remained as director for 10 years until "retiring" in 2006.  She is Co-Registrar for Summer Games Georgia, a Christian youth summer camp which has grown steadily over the past four years from 90 the first year to an anticipated 250 campers in 2009. 

Leigh grew up as a United Methodist having attended Cedar Grove United Methodist Church for most of her life.  She was always very active in her own youth group; therefore the importance of youth ministry and how it affects and changes lives was instilled in her early on.  She has excellent organizational and communication skills as well as a heart for God and ministry to youth.

Leigh has been married to her husband, Gary, for almost 22 years.  They have three children: Gary's son Matt, who is 28, and their girls Mandy and Callie.  Mandy is a sophomore at Georgia Southern University and Callie is a junior at Union Grove High School in McDonough.  She is very blessed to have a family who has always supported the time and energy it takes to be a Youth Director.  She's extremely excited about this opportunity at St. John and looks forward to getting to know the youth and building this program to the glory of God.   (Luke 15:3-7)
